Mission:
  • To build capacity at all levels of social actions/implementations.
  • To strengthen capacity to involve in civil society and NGO partnership (including bilateral, multilateral and public private partnerships).
  • To enhance participation contributing to policy and stimulating actions. 
  • To strengthen the existing NGO Development resource center.
 
Goal:
To motivate people for self-reliance and create circumstances achieving sustainable or eco-friendly development through empowering women, disables, disadvantaged groups and deprived section of the country.
 
To make the people aware on human rights, peace and development and mobilize and further strengthen the capacity of community structure to create to the protective environment to the children in the community
 
 
Background and Introduction:
 
Diyalo Pariwar (DP) was established in 1 June 1978 by the efforts of some youths with the aim of social enthusiasm to contribute in the social activities. In the days of its inspection, Diyalo concentrated its activities in small locally limited type of programs regarding welfare and charitable programs such as cleaning and management of waste, installation of post letter stands, sports, cultural activities (i.e. - Deusi & Bhailo events etc.), stall programs in festivals, rescue programs in natural disasters, establishment of reading room for local youths and Child education support in the primary level schools etc. After the registration, with concerned bodies of Government in 1985, Diyalo Pariwar was noticed by some donor agencies and began work as a social change agent in the communities.
 
Practically, Diyalo Pariwar is experienced with various development paradigms and models; namely initial stage as a local self-help group, institutional development stage as an intermediary organization and professionalism stage as holistic community development services implementing organization. According to the gradual shift on ideology, development perspectives caused by the national perspectives, Diyalo Pariwar involved in to the existing development values, norms and practices and believes in go to the people, live among them, learn from them, plan with them and work with them, start with what they know and build with what they have, teach by showing and learn by doing as continuous change process.

Aims:

  • To bring out Diyalo Pariwar as a self reliant, self-sustaining professional non-profit making social development organization.
 
Objectives:
 
The following are the objectives of Diyalo Pariwar and is extracted from its constitution. Beside these, Diyalo Pariwar will set priorities as per the agreed programs mainstreaming with the core objectives.
 
  • Support the wishes and interests of rural, disadvantaged and poor communities and strengthen their wills of development.
  • Play a pioneering role in the strengthening of all the socio-economic institutions at the community level.
  • Ensure a safe environment of meaning full participation of women and children, ethnics and disadvantaged groups.
  • Ensure of meaning full participation of most at risk populations (MARPs), orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs), HIV pregnant mothers, people living with HIV and AIDS (PLHIV) among other associated groups with HIV and AIDS.
  • Work in collaboration with the governmental organizations, civil societies and private sectors to enhance the public private partnerships for development and promotion of micro entrepreneurship and professional entrepreneurship.
  • Ensure an environment of the observance, respect and support in implementation of basic human rights including children rights and other rights associated with living of humans in general.
  • Ensure optimum mobilization of available human resources and creation of the opportunities (promotion of volunteerism, provision of internships etc.) for their further skills development.
  • Strengthen and safeguarding the socio-economic, natural and traditional skills and cultural issues at the local level.
  • Actively working in the sector of Peace and Good governance at all level for a respectful living.
  • Involve in agriculture sector development and natural resource management.  
  • Relevant research and study works in the development sectors.
  • Feed backing and involve in inclusive democracy.
  • Acceleration the organizational capacity of Diyalo Pariwar to work as an equipped development resource center to meet its vision and mission.

Sector of Interventions:

 
As per its best practices and its capabilities, the below mentioned sectors are the Development sectors in which Diyalo Pariwar is focusing the verities of Program.
  • Social Issues (Peace Process Supporting  Activities, Human Rights and  Child Protection, HIV/AIDS, Girls Trafficking and Child Labors)
  • Environment Conservation and Sustainable Development(Waste Management, Biodiversity Conservation,  Forest Conservation, Climate Change, Pollution and Pesticides Reduction )
  • Income generation(Organic Farming, Off  Season Vegetable Production, Goat Farming, Apiculture, Mushroom Cultivation etc)

Organizational Structure:
 
Diyalo Pariwar has its own constitution approved by the District Administrative Office, Chitwan, Nepal under the social organization act 2034 of Nepal Government. It has founder members, life members, and general members.
 
The Governing body, the Executive Committee, provides overall policy guidance to the organization and ensures its smooth operations. The committee is headed by the President and its selection process is democratic and elective.
 
The executive committee is elected once in every two years period and it is comprised of 7 members. General assembly is the supreme body of the organization. There are a total of 32 members out of which 20 are Life members. Executive committee forms different sub committees to carry out the organizational activities. The duration of sub committees varies on nature and activities of program.
 
An Executive Director (ED) is nominated by the Directors' committee, elected from the general convention of the organization for the three years tenure, to oversee the overall day to day office management and administration. Apart from this, Diyalo Pariwar's activities have been divided into four –Programme (Women and Children and Community Empowerment), Administration and Finance and HRD, M & E and Publication departments headed by separate department heads to manage the program activities of the organization.
